Awesome set of straight pencil shank Pots with hand cut Cumberland stems and Ivory trim rings. The set comes with the fitted custom made box above. The pipe in the set are marked in the nomenclature, 1/2 and 2/2 to designate the pipes belong to a set. I will describe the pipes below:
The first pipe is a pencil shank Pot shape with a hand cut Cumberland stem and an Ivory trim ring. The blast on this pipe is deep and craggy and shows alot of ring grain and straight grain coming through the blast. The rings go completely around the bowl and up the shank. The staining is a dark Black with Reddish/Brown highlites coming through. The stem is comfortable to hold in you teeth. The pipe is about a group 3/4 in size. The pipe measures: 7/8" dia bowl is 1 1/4" deep. Outside the bowl is 1 5/8" high and the length is 5 1/4" long.
The second pipe in the set is a plateau top pencil shank Pot shape also with a hand cut Cumberland stem and an Ivory trim ring. The pipe also has a nice blast that is deep and craggy and wanders around the entire bowl and up the shank. Te plateau top adds a nice touch of rugedness to the shape. The stem matches the stain well and is comfortable to hold in your teeth. The pipe measures: 7/8" dia. bowl is 1 1/4" deep. Outside the bowl is 1 5/8" high and the length of the pipe is 5 1/4" long.
