Awesome large carved Freehand with a hand cut Black Ebonite stem. The carve on this pipe is nice and craggy and still feels soft to the touch. The stain is a Black staining with Reddsih highlites coming through. The plateau top was left on the pipe and gives it a nice rugged appearance.The pipe is huge and is marked with my *XXL* stamp to designate the very large size. This one will smoke for a long time for sure. Nice thick walls at 1/2" thick will ensure a cool smoke. I have'nt made any carves lately and have been asked about them so I figured I better get the muscles back in shape for them. And what better way than to carve a huge pipe! The stem is comfortable to hold in your teeth and is very slender looking as you can see from the side views. The pipe measures: 7/8"dia. bowl is 2 5/8" deep.
